Imphal (Manipur), Mar 10 : In view of the possible threat of transmission Novel Corona Virus, Manipur Government has sealed Indo-Myanmar international border along Manipur Sector.
An Order issued by State Home Department said, movement of people across international border with Myanmar has been prohibited and Gate No. 1 & 2 at Moreh Town and other crossing points closed along Manipur Sector of Indo- Myanmar border.
All concerned government agencies including State Police, District Administrations, Assam Riffles and Customs have been instructed to ensure strict compliance of the order.
Manipur shares around 400 kilometers of borderline with Myanmar. The neighboring country Myanmar shares border with Corona-hit China.
State Government has already set up testing centers for COVID-19 at border areas and taken up necessary precautionary measures.
