Guwahati (Assam), May 15 : The situation is Assam still remains grim with more cases of Covid -19 being reported.
On Friday , a total of 4078 new cases were reported in the state out of which 1107 cases were reported from Guwahati and its suburbs .

The overall positivity percentage was 9.26% and the recovery rate was 85.80 %..
Assam Chief Minister , Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today visited The Guwahati Medical College to take stock of preparedness and treatment facilities.
He took stock of oxygen availability, medicines, ICU beds & other medical infrastructure at GMCH to ensure best treatment to patients and reviewed the construction work of 200-bed COVID19 Hospital at GMCH parking lot.
