Guwahati (Assam), June 9: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday pitched for deeper investment frameworks and commercial linkages with European markets as he met a high-level ‘Team Europe’ delegation in the city.
The two-day visit, led by EU Ambassador to India and Bhutan Herve Delphin, brings together ambassadors and top diplomats from EU member countries. The team is touring India’s maiden semiconductor facility at Jagiroad and holding talks with Northeast leaders to assess opportunities in trade and industry.
Officials said discussions will span green energy, sustainable infrastructure and healthcare.
The state-hosted meeting brought together policymakers, local business owners and corporate executives from both continents to explore supply-chain partnerships and investment avenues in the region.
