Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Sept 20: “Let Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma,Assam health minister become an astrologer or a political pundit of Assam politics as Dr Sarma can predict the numerical votes of newly floated Asom Jatiya Parishad would get in the upcoming Assembly elections due in 2021”, said Udayan Kumar Gogoi,secretary of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad in Kokrajhar today .
Today , Udayan Gogoi,AASU president Dipangka Kumar Nath and noted Assamse singer Babu Baruah attended in the 42nd Swahid Divos observation at Gendrabill ground in Kokrajhar district.The programme was organised by All Assam Nath Yogi Students Union to mark the death anniversary of Manbar Nath,who sacrificed his life in the freedom movement during 1942.
Gogoi said that BJP and state government are in fear of the newly floated Asom Jatiya Parishad in the state . He flayed Dr Sarma for his negative remarks on the newly created AJP and added that the ruling BJP will face massive defeat in the upcoming assembly elections.
He advised Dr . Sarma become an astrologer in the field of Assam politics .
“If Dr Himanta can predict how many seats AJP would be winning in the upcoming Assembly elections in the state,then he should be an astrologer or political pundit.Dr Himanta should leave politics and take up a job of an astrologer “,Gogoi added.
AASU president Dipangka Kumar Nath while speaking on the occasion slammed BJP and state government for not sending the reports on Clause VI of the Assam Accord and said that BJP never cares about welfare in the state.
He said that AASU wants peaceful and healthy development in the state among all sections of the society,but BJP has started making irresponsible remarks about the new party .
The newly formed , AJP will not compromise on any issues in the coming days and AJP will dedicate themselves for the welfare and integration of the society.
Phukan Nath demanded declaration of state holiday on Sept 20 to pay respects and honour to the martyrs of 1942 freedom movement at Dekiajuli where Manbar Nath died in firing while fighting the British.
President of All BTC Nath Yogi Students Union Phukan Nath said that Nath Yogi community had contributed during the freedom movement but community today is was not getting any recognition from the state government and have been deprived from development and welfare .
He has demanded granting of Scheduled Tribe(ST) status to the Nath Yogi community,creation of satellite autonomous council in the state for the welfare of the Nath Yogi community .
ABSU general secretary Lawrence Islary who was the chief gues said that the Nath Yogi student union was working for the welfare and development of the community since it’s inception and urged upon the citizens of the community to come forward while bringing healthy and educational development to pave the way healthy integration.
