Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Sept 20: Police in Kokrajhar recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from Shantipur jungle area under Kachugaon police station in Kokrajhar district on Saturday night.
Based on a specific input about presence of illegal arm and ammunitions on Saturday night, a search operation was conducted in jungle area of Shantipur area under Kachugaon police station by police team and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunitions which were kept concealed under bushes.
The recovery arms and ammunitions which includes an AK 47 rifle with magazine (country made), one UG rifle with magazine (country made), one 7.62 pistol (factory made ) ,four grenades, four Detonator’ and 13 rounds live ammunition of AK riffle.
“The search operation was successful and police has intensified intensified their operations against illegal arms and ammunition’ , “said Rakesh Roushan,SP Kokrajhar.
