Guwahati (Assam), Aug 11 : A total of 2669 Covid cases were detected in the state in the past 24 hours .
Among the fresh cases detected on Tuesday , Kamrup Metro reported 399 cases, Dibrugarh 259, Karbi Anglong 189 and Tinsukia 181 .
With this the total number of cases in the state has gone up to 64,406 .
However , the active cases stand at 20662 after a total of 43586 patients have discharged so far after recovery .
4 more critically ill Covid patients succumbed to their infections at various hospital across the state today. The death toll now has gone up to 155 .
The patients have been identified as Ms. Sanchita Paul Choudhury (65), Ms .Swapana Choudhury (64) and Yahiya Ahmed Barbhuiya (40) of Cachar & Ms . Roma Rai (58) of Dibrugarh.
