Shillong(Meghalaya), May 2 : Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma chaired a meeting with the State Disaster Management Authority and other departments to review the state’s monsoon preparedness. The meeting, attended by Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, Chief Secretary D P Wahlang, and senior officials, aimed to ensure effective coordination and response to minimize losses and suffering.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of preparedness, highlighting the need for relief, water, and housing support during the monsoon season. With district officers participating via video conferencing, the meeting reviewed the state’s readiness to tackle the upcoming monsoons.
