Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 26 : A group of masked men vandalized the Grotto Chapel in Dhankheti area here , in the early hours of Tuesday. The incident occurred around 2:10 am.

The chapel, one of the largest in the region, is a popular destination for devotees and tourists. Established in 1947 by the Catholic community, the Grotto Chapel is a revered place of worship and a significant landmark in Shillong.
The attackers could not make off with a substantial amount of money, as only a small portion of the daily collections are kept on the premises.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits. Authorities are working to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice.
