Shillong ( Meghalaya), Dec 6 : In a groundbreaking event, Shillong hosted Asia’s largest Spoken Festival by Kommune at the iconic Wards Lake. The festival, supported by the Department of Tourism, Meghalaya, was graced by Paul Lyngdoh, Tourism Minister, and Cyril VD Diengdoh, Director of Tourism.
Lyngdoh expressed his delight at witnessing the growth of experiential tourism and arts and culture in Meghalaya. He thanked the local population, Kommune, and participating artists for their support and collaboration.
This event marks a significant milestone in Meghalaya’s efforts to promote tourism and cultural exchange. With its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, Meghalaya is poised to become a hub for cultural and artistic expression.
