Shillong (Meghalaya), Jan 29 : A fresh western disturbance has brought scattered rainfall to Meghalaya and the North East region . According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the rainfall is expected to continue until January 30, with some areas receiving heavy downpours.
The IMD has predicted that the Western Himalayan Region, including Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad, will experience scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall until February 3.
In Meghalaya, the rainfall has brought down the temperature. However, the cold wave is expected to continue in the next 24 hours.
