Shillong (Meghalaya ) , Sept 13 : Meghalaya Powr Minister, James Sangmas convoy met with an accident early this morning in Nagaon in Assam while he was on his way from Manipur to Shillong after attending a party meeting on Friday .
On Friday , James Sangma was detected Covid positive at the Imphal Airport and he was on his way to Shillong for quarantine as per Covid protocol .
While James Sangma decided to return to Shillong after the positive result, CM Conrad Sangma and his OSD-cum-press secretary, Saidul Khan, who tested negative, decided to stay back and return today .
Police sources said that the four injured police officials were immediately sent to Civil Hospital, Nagaon & Minister has been escorted to his official residence in Shillong.
While the pilot vehicle of the minister capsized , the ministers car was also damaged . Both the vehicles have been kept in Nonoi Police outpost .
