Shillong ( Meghalaya ) , June 17 : 478 new cases of Covid -19 were detected in the state on Thursday while 4 more patients succumbed to their infections.
While 2 deaths were reported from East Jaintia Hills , 1 each was reported West Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills .

According to an official communication , 478 new cases were detected on Thursday out of which 189 were from East Khasi Hills .
A total of 329 patients were also discharged on Thursday after full recovery .
The active cases as of now stand at 4609 .
