Dimapur (Nagaland), June 16: The Nagaland Government on Wednesday has extended the lockdown in the State till June 30.
It also empowered district Covid-19 Task Forces to workout relaxations as per the situation in the respective districts.
In a tweet, Advisor IT & C, and spokesperson on Covid-19, Mmhonlumo Kikon, stated that though the situation was improving but the State is still not “out of the woods” and the lockdown has to be continued at the same time added that the positivity rate is declining but still requires to be below 5% and need to vaccinate more than 50% of the population.
He said that the decision to extend the lockdown was taken at a review meeting of the State’s High Powered Committee (HPC) on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned that Nagaland went to total Lockdown on May 14 restricting all activities except for essential services and movement of goods transport.
