Shillong (Meghalaya), April 24: One more person succumbed to his infections here today taking the death toll up to 158.
According to official sources , the patient who succumbed to his infections has been identified as Niranjan Deb aged 69 years hailing from Lower Lumparing area here .

He was admitted in Civil Hospital, at 9.45 PM & tested Covid positive on Friday (tested at Woodland Hospital). He succumbed to his infections today at 7.45 AM.
The cause of his death was Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Hypertension along with Covid 19.
Today a total of 155 fresh COVID19 cases were detected in the state taking the number of active cases to 1244.
