Tura (Meghalaya) , Jan 13 : At least five persons, including two kids and three ladies were killed in a head on collision at Nongalbibra in South Garo Hills on Wednesday.
Three others were rushed to Guwahati for specialized treatment .
The accident occurred around 11:30 pm near Pathargittim and the the passengers were travelling in a Mahindra pickup van when the mishap occurred.

According to sources the driver of the pickup van was drunk and lost control of the vehicle and collided with a parked truck .
While four died on the spot one died later at Williamnagar Civil Hospital .
