Shillong (Meghalaya), April 18: The Border Security Force (BSF) of India and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held a Sector Commander Level Meeting at BGB’s Border Outpost Bijoypur in Bangladesh on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
The meeting was led by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Lalit Mohan Sharma of BSF’s Tura Sector, Manoj Kumar Barnwal, DIG of the Shillong Sector, and BGB’s Mymensingh Sector Commander Colonel Sarker Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman.
The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two forces, and was conducted in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the mutual commitment to maintaining peace and stability along the international border.
Battalion commanders and staff officers from both forces participated in the meeting, which paved the way for strengthened ties and enhanced security measures.
