Shillong (Meghalaya), April 19: The Indian Racing Festival, a high-octane motorsport extravaganza, kickstarted today at the DGAR Cantonment here. Organised by JK Tyre in collaboration with the Meghalaya Motorsport Society and Assam Rifles, the event saw a lot of excitement with electrifying performances.
The crowd witnessed drifting demonstrations in high-performance Lexus and BMW cars, adrenalin-pumping stunts on Superbikes, and standout performances by young karting prodigies on their Rotax Karts. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, Director General Assam Rifles, as Chief Guest and Rosetta Mary Kurbah, Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, as Guest of Honour.
The hills of Laitkor proved to be the perfect backdrop for this celebration of speed and spirit, with the energy of the packed house and scenic locale adding a unique flavor to the motorsport spectacle. The festival also featured traditional performances by the students of Martin Luther Christian University, adding a touch of local culture to the event.
