Shillong(Meghalaya), May 9 : After a temporary lull, one more person has tested positive for COVID-19 here today .
Informing this the state Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that the person is linked to the first Covid -19 patient Late Dr. John Sailo . He added that the fresh case working in the house of Dr . Sailo and while as a precaution health department was retesting all the primary contacts and in the process, the person was found positive case.
The person is healthy and has no symptoms, he added.
CM Conrad Sangma tweeted at 12.41 pm : ”.Unfortunately we have another positive case in Shillong. It’s a person working in the same house. As a precaution health department was retesting all the primary contacts and in the process we found this positive case. The person is safe and healthy and showing no symptoms.”
With this fresh case the total number of positive cases in the state stands at 13.
