Shillong (Meghalaya), July 7: The Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA), in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs and the Meghalaya Athletics Association, has announced the 4th edition of the Sohra International Half Marathon. The event is scheduled to take place on September 27.
Recognized by World Athletics and the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), the marathon aims to promote sportsmanship and fitness in the state. Officials expect a large turnout of athletes and sports enthusiasts from Meghalaya and beyond.
The event’s organizers, including Director of Sports & Youth Affairs DD Shira, MSOA Working President John F Kharshiing, and MSOA General Secretary Finely Pariat, have extended an invitation to all interested participants. The Sohra International Half Marathon has become a significant sporting event in the region, and this year’s edition is expected to draw record participation.
