Shillong , Aug 22: Champions show why they are champions.
Langsning came from behind to beat Rangdajied United 3-1 in a high-voltage Round 3 clash of the Shillong Premier League 2026 at SSA Stadium here tonight.
Rangdajied struck first through Franky Dkhar in the 25th minute, but Langsning turned on the style — Mebanshngain Kurkalang equalised in first-half added time (45+3′), Syed Ahmed headed the lead in the 65th, and super-sub Rohan Manar killed the contest in the 88th.
The game was end-to-end from the start. Mebannangkiew Thabah blazed over in the 7th, Samuel L Kynshi rattled the crossbar from a free-kick in the 14th, and a defensive mix-up between Mebanshngain and keeper Rajat Paul almost gifted Freelyson Tariang a sitter.
Franky’s low left-foot finish looked to have put Rangdajied in control, but Langsning refused to blink.
Coach Khlain Pyrkhat Syiemlieh’s three changes — Rajat Paul Lyngdoh, Kyrmenskhem Mukhim and Denelson Pyngrope — gave Langsning fresh legs, while Rangdajied’s five-man shuffle failed to hold the lead.
The equaliser came from a set-piece header by Mebanshngain, the second from a brilliantly worked corner — Allen L Nongbri floated it far post, headed back across, Syed finished — and the third from Rohan after a fine build-up from Alex Manar.
