Williamnagar(Meghalaya), June 25 : Purno K. Sangma, former Chief Executive Member of GHADC and former President of GSU, passed away at Williamnagar Civil Hospital.
Deeply saddened by the demise of Shri Purno K. Sangma, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said he was a long-serving MDC and a prominent leader from Garo Hills, widely respected for his strong grassroots connect and dedicated service to the people. “His contributions to the region and commitment to public welfare will be remembered,” the CM said, extending heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and well-wishers.
Colleagues recalled working closely with the late leader in the party and through various social organisations. “His dedication, leadership, and service to society will always be cherished,” a senior associate noted.
Sangma’s decades-long engagement with GHADC and GSU shaped his legacy as a leader who stayed close to local issues.
