New Delhi, May 05: The defected AAP Rajya Sabha MPs have sought Presidential intervention on the Punjab Government’s alleged misuse of state machinery on them.
Under the leadership of Raghav Chadha, the 7 MPs who announced merger in the BJP, on Tuesday called on President Draupadi Murmu and alleged that the Punjab Government has been misusing the state machinery against them and alleged discriminatory actions against them.
This has come a couple of days after the Punjab Government agencies raided Rajinder Gupta and registered 2 FIRs against Sandeep Pathak after they to BJP.
In yet another development, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is also scheduled to meet Murmu later on Tuesday.
Notably, 7 Rajya Sabha MPs, Raghav Chadha, Ashok Mittal, Sandeep Pathak, Harbhajan Singh, Vikram Sawhney, Swati Maliwal and Rajinder Gupta, have defected from the Aam Aadmi Party to the BJP.
