Shillong (Meghalaya), Feb 11: In a swift operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya apprehended three Bangladeshi female nationals attempting to cross into India from Bangladesh near Dawki in East Khasi Hills district.
The operation, carried out by personnel from the 4 Bn BSF, detected suspicious movement along the border, leading to the detention of the three women from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
They were subsequently handed over to the authorities.
This is not the first instance of BSF Meghalaya foiling infiltration bids. In June 2024, the BSF apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals, including a minor, from the East Khasi Hills district.
