Kokrajhar (Assam ), April 9 : State Social Welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma has appealed to all sections of citizens in the state to observe lighting of candles and observe 9 minutes switching off of domestic lights at 9 pm this evening.
Similarly , UPPL president Pramod Boro has made an appeal to all sections of citizens to observe switching off and lighting of candles or ‘diyas’ as per appeal made PM Narendra Modi to fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.
Meanwhile , One more person has tested positive in Assam on Saturday taking tally to 26 in the state.
As per reports, one person from the Barak Valley’s Cacher has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The first case of the novel coronavirus positive case, too, was reported from the Valley’s Karimganj on Tuesday .
The other positive cases were reported from various places of the state including Guwahati.
Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma clarified that all the cases except the one in Spanish Garden Housing Complex in Guwahati have links with the Nizamuddin congregation held in South Delhi last month.
