Shillong (Meghalaya), June 11 : 5 paitents who were undergoing treatment for Covid -19 have fully recovered today after they tested negative twice as per Covid protocol .
The state has so far recorded 44 Covid cases and with development the number of recovered cases have gone up to 18 and the total active cases stand at 25.
Chief Minister,Conrad K Sangma took to tweeted , “5 individuals have recovered after testing negative twice. Total active cases : 25 recovered : 18”
The new cases include a 70-year-old man having no travel history and a pregnant woman who recently arrived from Delhi. The elderly citizen, a native of Ri-Bhoi district with no travel history tested positive at Dr H Gordon Roberts Hospital, Shillong.
The pregnant woman is admitted at North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) hospital, while her husband is under treatment at Shillong Civil hospital.
Health Minister informed that 11,812 samples have been sent till date, out of which 11,455 tests came out negative and report of the test results awaited are 313.
Out of the 44 positive cases, one person died, 13 recovered and 30 cases are active.
