Kokrajhar (Assam),May 25: Amidst strict social distancing, along with rest of the state, the Holy Eid-ul-Fitre was celebrated in Kokrajhar,heart town of BTAD administration on Monday with fervor after a month-long Ramadan fast on Monday.
Foremer BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary offered his Namaj while at Kokrajhar Jame Masjid here .Mohilary,who is also BPF president was accompanied by former BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary.
The Eid-ul-Fitre celebration at Jame masjid was organized by Kokrajhar Jame Masjid management committee where only five followers gathered including Mohilary to offer Namaj on the occasion.
Mohilary extended Eid greetings to the people of Assam on the occasion. He said that he offered his prayer for bringing peace and unity among all sections of communities. He said that we must come forward united to build healthy and peaceful region so that development and unity prevails in the region .
He urged the citizens to maintain social distancing to combat the Coronavirus outbreak in the state.
