Kokrajhar (Assam), Aug 24: The death toll of COVID-19 cases in Kokrajhar has gone up to 7 with popular doctor from the district , Dr. Amol Mochary who was directly involved in treating Covid patients succumbing to his infections at the Guwahati medical college and hospital on Monday afternoon .
Dr Amol Mochary(53) succumbed to his infections at around 12 noon today .
He was detected positive on Aug 10 and rushed to GMCH for specialized treatment.
Dr Mochary was serving as the district surveillance officer and senior health and medical officer at Kokrajhar’s RNB civil hospital.
With his death today, the death toll has gone up to 7 in the district.
Dr Mochary was known for his amicable nature and he had dedicated his life for the common masses , especially during the pandemic .
On the other hand,the tally of COVID-19 positive cases touched 1317 with 10 more fresh positive cases reported on Monday.
Among the ten positive cases , Binanda Basumatary,officer in-charge of Kokrajhar police station & Sameswar Basumatry,PRO(Bodoland Territorial Council Secretariat) were detected positive.
