Guwahati (Assam), April 9 : One more COVID -19 positive case was reported from Dhubri district of Assam this evening . With this new case the total numer of COVID -19 cases in the state now stands at 29.
The person from Dhubri who was in contact with the first patient (with Markaz linkage) has been confirmed as COVID -19 positive.
Assam, Health minister , Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted at 7:59 this evening : “Alert ~ A person from Dhubri, who was in contact with a positive patient (with Markaz linkage) from the same district, has been confirmed as #COVID19 positive.”
Meanwhile , Dr. Sarma informed that the condition of a COVID-19 patient from Hailakandi is critical and his oxygen saturation is decreasing.
He added that the patient’s other parameters are stable and that he is being shifted to ICU of Silchar Medical College and Hospital )SMCH) for better monitoring“
