NRL felicitated as the Highest Tax Payer in North East Region

Guwahati(Assam), Aug 2 : Numaligarh Refinery Limited has emerged as the highest Corporate Tax Payer in the North Eastern Region for the FY 2020-21.

NRL MD S.K. Barua was felicitated with the trophy for ‘Top Income Tax Payer in NER’ by Principal Commissioner of Income Tax Department, North East Region – Raju Tayeng at a function held by Income Tax Department at Aaykar Bhawan, here on Wednesday  as part of Azadi Ka Jan Utsav organised to mark of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The Income Tax Department expressed its gratitude for the immense contribution made by NRL to the Government exchequer.

The function was also graced by Tokyo Olympic Bronze Medalist Lovlina Borgohain.

Earlier, NRL was adjudged the highest Income Tax payer in the FY 2018-19.
