Kokrajhar (Assam),Mar 30: “There are no positive cases of COVID-19 till today in the state and hence citizens must adhere to restrictions from government as well ministry of health and maintain social distancing “, said Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Sonowal rushed to Bongaigaon on Monday to review of health department’s preparedness for fighting COVID-19 outbreak in the district.He held meetings with the DC Bongaigaon,senior officials of health department and reviewed the preparations which have been initiated to combat COVID-19 outbreak.
Sonowal said that the government and health department is fully prepared to fight the Covid – 19 outbreak . He informed that PM Narendra Modi’s declared that nationwide lockdown in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and urged upon the common masses to follow up the directions and guidelines from the government as well health department to prevent any outbreak .
He informed that health department officials are working round the clock to fight against the Corona virus.
He informed that several suspected persons have tested across the state and found negative.He said that not even a single case has been reported positive till date in the state.
He appealed to the citizens not to believe on rumours and panic about COVID-19 outbreak.
“Citizens must stay at home and follow the instructions from the government as well health department and maintain social distance during the lock down periods across the country”, Sonowal added.
