Guwahati (Assam), April 22 : The state Government has decided to allow inter-district travel only for the patients, home bound people on April 25, 26 and 27 with the prior approval of the respective deputy commissioners.
Disclosing this in a press conference here, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the people stuck with their own vehicles amid COVID-19 lockdown have to apply for the e-pass to the respective district commissioners.
The government has deided to arrange Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) buses on designated routes for the people without any vehicle or transport means.
They are required to call to 104 and priorities will be given to the students, women and senior citizens.
Meanwhile, in an order the Education Department has directed all private schools to waive off 50% of their one month fees for April to give relief to parents.
It is also directed that during pandemic there will be no increase in fee structure and no curtailment of salary of teaching & non teaching staff of private schools.
