Kokrajhar(Assam),April 10: The All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) has contributed Rs.1.52 lakh to the Assam Arogya Nidhi to help fight the spread COVID-19 in the state.
The students body has also made an appeal to all sections of communities to stay at home and maintain social distancing to control the COVID-19 outbreak.
Speaking the reporters at a press conference here, ABSU president Dipen Boro announced to contribute a sum of Rs.1.52 lakh to the state government to combat the Coronavirus spread in the state.
He appealed to all to maintain of social distancing as it was the main vaccine to combat the outbreak COVID-19, and urged upon the citizens to maintain social distancing and stay at homes during the ongoing nationwide lockdown.
He informed that students union will always co-operate the government while bringing awareness and control of the Corona virus outbreak across the state.
Meanwhile,government employees here also extended support to the needy families by distributing food grains as well essential commodities in remote areas during the ongoing nationwide lockdown.
