Kokrajhar (Assam), April 20: Bodoland Territorial Region ( BTR) chief executive member ( CEM ) Pramod Boro took his first jab of Covid vaccine today at RNB civil hospital here .
Boro was accompanied by BTC executive member Arup Kumar Dey and BTC MCLA Wilson Hasda.
After taking first jab, Boro urged upon all citizens to come forward and get vaccinated .
He has also appealed all sections of citizens to use masks , maintain social distance and wash their hands regularly to combat the COVID-19 situation.
He said that citizens must take personal initiatives to lead a healthy life as well ensure a Corona free environment.
” I took my first dose of COVID-19 vaccine today along with some of our MCLAs, my team members & security personnel at Kokrajhar RNB Civil Hospital. I request all those who are eligible for vaccination to take their dose . Also request everyone to take strict measures like wearing mask, sanitization and maintain social distancing to avoid COVID19 infection”, Boro said .
Commenting on Assam assembly election results, Boro said that he is hopeful that the BJP led NDA alliance will win majority of the seats across the state to form the next government in the state.
He said that his UPPL and BJP are winning in all contesting constituencies across the four districts of BTR as people have voted in favour of UPPL and BJP parties.
On the horse trading post assembly elections, Boro said that it was a tactics of Mahajoth to create poltical chaos among the common masses in the state.
He added that Mahajoth cannot win sufficient seats across the state to form the government .
On the other hand, the toll of COVID-19 positive has gone up to 98 on Tuesday evening with reports of 19 positive case detected in entire Kokrajhar district in the wake of the second wave of COVID-19 in the region .
A total 1325 RAT tests were conducted across the district where 19 were detected taking the positive cases to 98.
Among the active positive case, 11 are hospitalised,83 are in home isolation and 4 referred for specialized treatment .
Meanwhile, a review meeting was held on COVID-19, chaired by BTR chief executive member (CEM) Pramod Boro at BTC Secretariat conference Hall on Tuesday in Kokrajhar.
Boro took stock of medicines, ICU rooms, PPE kits, treatment centers, in all four districts of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) .
The meeting was attended by BTR executive member for health services, Arup Kumar Dey, Reo Reoa Narzihary, BTC MCLA Wilson Hasda, BTR Principal Secretary, DC Kokrajhar District, Secretaries of BTC, Doctors, DPM Kokrajhar, Director of Education, Director of Food & Civil supply and other officers of BTC Secretariat.
