Guwahati( Assam), June 22 : A home guard refused to accept a huge bribe from drug cartels for letting a truck pass by with 3 kgs of high quality Meth aka Crystal Ice at a check gate under Dillai PS in Karbi Anglong and in turn informed his superiors which led to their arrest and recovery of drugs worth about Rs.12 Crores in International market.
2 women from Tamil Nadu and one man from Manipur who tried to bribe him were arrested .
It is learnt that the Home Guard Borsing Bey was offered a huge bribe amount by the accused in return for letting them pass the check gate.
Bey refused the offer and reported about the trio to his superiors present there which not only led to their arrest but also seizure of drugs .
The Assam police has decided to reward Bey for this selfless and honest act .
He will be rewarded an amount of Rs. 1 Lakh soon .
