      Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Sept 2: Even though,the date of the general elections to the Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) is yet to be announced from state election commission,campaigning by different parties and Independent candidates have already started to woo the common voters to support the candidates in four districts of the council.

      Various political parties including United People’s Party Liberal(UPPL), Bodoland People’s Front(BPF), Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), Congress-AIUDF,Gana Suraksha Party(GSP) are contesting the council elections with their own candidates .

      On Wednesday,UPPL president Pramod Boro addressed at a well attended rally at Guwabari under Darangajuli constituency for the party candidate Phanindra Narzary in Baksa district.

      Boro alleged that the BPF has not worked for the welfare and development in their 17 years of rule in BTAD administration.He added that BPF has indulged in massive corruption and anomalies in all developmental aspects in the districts of BTAD that’s why the citizens are deprived of their due rights and development in the region.

      He informed that BTR accord(Bodoland Territorial Region) in an inclusive accord for all sections of the society.He said that several higher educational institutions,cultural institutions,development packages etc would be coming coming to the region through the spirit of BTR accord.He said that government has emphasized proper implementation of all clauses of the BTR accord to pave way healthy development in the region.

      He said that UPPL was working wholeheartedly for the development and welfare for bringing ‘ parivartan’ in the region which will become a reality in days to come.He claimed that his UPPL is confident of winning 30 seats of the 40 member house form the next council .

      He said that this time people from grassroots level have come forward to extend support and promised to vote in favour of UPPL across the districts for massive development.

      President of UPPL women wing Bina Goyary addressed an election campaign at Bongshigaon under Banargaon constituency for party candidate Rabiram Brahma today in Kokrajhar district.

      Goyary said that BPF is facing massive setback as people are extending support to the UPPL in all corners of the council area.She alleged that BPF had never focused on welfare of the common people in their 17 years of rule in BTAD administration.

      She said that women have been deprived of their due rights and protection due to insincere attitude from the BPF .She has urged the common masses to extend support and vote in favour of the party for general welfare in the days to come .

      Parry candidate Rabiram Brahma said that opponent BPF is facing tsunami and BPF supremo Hagrama Mohilary is sinking as people are denying to extend support to the BPF party candidates across the BTAD region.

      BPF president Hagrama Mohilary campaigned at Bongshigaon community hall under Banargaon constituency for party candidate Rajib Brahma.

      He claimed that his party is getting majority seats in the BTC council elections as voters from different communities are extending support and assured to vote in favour of the BPF in the ensuing BTC council elections.

      He said that BPF ruled BTC administration was working for the welfare and development of the common masses which has been seen by the common citizens .

      He said that the BTR accord would not bring development and welfare for the people in the region.

      Party candidate Rajib Brahma said that he would emerge victorious from the Banargaon constituency as people from all walks of life are extending all support .
