Guwahati (Assam), Nov 18 : 3 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections today taking the death toll to 969 .
The patients have been identified as Lak Nath Gogoi (62) of Tinsukia; Anasur Hoque (14) of Kamrup Rural and Mainul Haque (52) of Kamrup Rural.
A total of 169 new cases were detected out of 23484 tests conducted today, with positivity rate of 0.72%. Kamrup Metro reported 42 new cases .
Meanwhile , the government announced that Covid – 19 tests from next week for incoming flight passengers will be done in Guwahati Airport itself instead of Xarusajai and all air passengers travelling within Assam and those travelling between north east will no longer require mandatory Covid tests .
