Alarming Covid Spike in Assam : 3266 new cases , 10 deaths, 700 cases in Kamrup(M)

Guwahati (Assam), Sept 1 : 3266 new Covid cases were detected in the state in the past 24 hours taking the total number of cases in the state to 109040 .

Among the new cases , Kamrup Metro reported 700 cases , Golaghat reported 233 cases , Cachar reported 189 cases and Jorhat reported 189 cases .

A total of 10 critically ill Covid patients succumbed to their infections on Monday taking the death toll to 306 .

Health Minister , Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted , “📌Alert ~ 3266 #COVID cases detected today out of 44948 tests done in last 24 hours.

Positivity Rate- 7.26%
