Guwahati (Assam), July 16 : The Spike in the number of Covid cases in the state continues . A total of 1088 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Wednesday out which 649 cases are from Guwahati city alone .

The tally in the state is also nearing 20000 mark with 19754 cases recorded so far .
However , a total of 715 patients were discharged from various hospitals across the state after total recovery .
2 critically ill Covid patients including a doctor succumbed to their infections of Wednesday .
