Guwahati (Assam), Sept 5 : 2698 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Saturday taking the total number of cases in the state to 123922.
Among the new cases Kamrup Metro reported 700 cases , Bongaigaon reported 190 cases , Lakhimpur reported 151 cases and Kamrup Rural reported 142 cases .
A total of 7 deaths were reported in the state from various hospitals across the state taking the death toll to 352 .
A total of 2020 patients were discharged from various hospitals across the state after recovery .
Confirming the figures , Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted , “📌Alert ~ 2698 #COVID cases detected today out of 35147 tests done in last 24 hours
