Guwahati(Assam) , Aug 13 : A total of 2796 new Covid cases were detected in the state today taking the total number of cases in the state to 71, 795 .
Of the news cases today detected today, Kamrup Metro reported 418, Kamrup Rural 248,Cachar 307 and Dibrugarh 207.
The active cases as of now stand at 24,414 .
On Thursday a total 2174 patients were discharged after recovery .
