Guwahati ( Assam) , Aug 8 : A total of 2679 new Covid cases were detected on Friday in the state out which Kamrup (M) recorded 442 cases Kamrup (R)-recorded 265 cases Cachar reported 250 cases and Nagaon- 172 cases .
Confirming the figures , Health Minister , H. B. Sarma tweeted , “📌Alert ~ 2679 COVID cases detected out of 58531 tests in last 24 hrs.
Positivity rate continues to be low at 4.57%
Kamrup (M)- 442, Kamrup (R)- 265, Cachar- 250, Nagaon- 172. ”
