Shillong (Meghalaya), April 02 : In a groundbreaking achievement, Khasi-language film “Ha Lyngkha Bneng” (The Elysian Field), directed by Pradip Kurbah, has been selected for the Main Competition at the prestigious 47th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) 2025!
This historic milestone marks the first time a Khasi film has been showcased at one of the world’s oldest and most esteemed film festivals, established in 1935. The festival will take place in Moscow from April 17 to April 24, featuring the finest films from around the globe.
Produced by Kurbah Films in association with Hello Meghalaya, Pomus New Horizons, Ka Knup Creatives, and Cat N Mouse Entertainment, the film boasts a talented cast, including Richard Kharpuri, Helena Duiia, and Baia Marbaniang.
This selection at MIFF 2025 is a testament to the growing recognition of Khasi cinema on the global stage.
