Tura (Meghalaya), Jan 14: In a significant move to revolutionize education in the state, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma handed over M-Tab learning tablets to students of West Garo Hills at a programme held in District Auditorium, Tura. The initiative is part of the Chief Minister’s Student Digital Learning Scheme, aimed at promoting e-Education in the state.
The M-Tab is loaded with comprehensive contents related to Higher Secondary level examination for all streams, including mock question papers, past question papers, and solved answer papers for various competitive examinations. The tablet also features high-quality audio-video, animation, and 3D graphic contents to make learning more engaging and effective.
Speaking at the programme, CM Conrad K. Sangma emphasized the importance of empowering the youth through digital learning. “The handheld device is not just a gadget; it’s a tool to empower our youth. We want to ensure that our youth get access to learning and are better equipped to face different examinations.”
This initiative marks a significant milestone in Meghalaya’s efforts to bridge the digital divide and provide equal opportunities for students across the state. With the M-Tab, students will have access to a wealth of educational resources, enabling them to compete with their peers nationwide.
The programme was also attended by Speaker Thomas A Sangma, who expressed his support for the initiative and encouraged the students to make the most of this opportunity.
