Williamnagar ( Meghalaya ), Jan 15 : ABSI Kromith Marak and Driver Constable Dimsrang N Sangma of East Garo Hills have been suspended until further orders by SP East Garo hills following an accident at Khera on Friday afternoon.
Regular case have also been registered for further investigation.
The accident occurred at around 1.30 noon at Khera on Friday where a police gypsy escorting Home Ministers carcade at the tail collided with a bike coming from opposite direction.
A 45-year-old man was killed and another person was injured .
Rimbui was on his way to attend a high-level meeting on the law and order situation when the motorcycle, which was coming from the opposite direction, rammed into a convoy vehicle on National Highway-44 near Khera .
The motorcyclist died on the spot and a person sitting behind suffered injuries.The injured victim is undergoing treatment in Williamnagar Civil Hospital.
