Shillong (Meghalaya), Feb 7: In a major boost to their squad, NorthEast United FC has announced that fan favorite Redeem Tlang has signed a contract extension, keeping him with the Highlanders until 2027.
Tlang’s journey with NorthEast United FC began in 2014, and after stints with Shillong Lajong, FC Goa, and Odisha FC, he returned to the club in July 2023. The versatile player has been instrumental in Juan Pedro Benali’s squad, making 17 appearances in the 2023-24 season.
This season, Tlang has excelled in a new role as a right-back, solidifying his place in the starting XI. “I’m thrilled to extend my stay with NorthEast United FC. I believe in the club’s direction, and the support from the coaching staff and management has been incredible,” Tlang said, expressing his delight at committing to the Highlanders.
