Shillong (Meghalaya), July 4: The Court of Judicial Magistrate has extended the judicial custody of Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha, the prime accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, for 14 more days.
The custody extension was granted via video conference on Friday afternoon.
The accused were previously sent to 13-day judicial custody on June 21, by a district court in Shillong. The case relates to the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, an Indore-based businessman who was killed during his honeymoon trip to Meghalaya with his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi.
The police have been investigating the case and gathering evidence against the accused. The extension of judicial custody indicates that the investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are working to build a strong case against Sonam and Raj. The case has garnered significant attention due to its shocking nature and the involvement of a young couple.
