Tura(Meghalaya ), July 24: North Garo Hills (NGH) police on Jul 23, afternoon, seized at least 30 cartons of beer that was being transported in an auto rickshaw apparently for sale in the black market within the district.

As per police sources, the vehicle was caught by the police patrolling team of Resubelpara PS while conducting random vehicle checking.
“We detected and seized 30 cartons of beer which were being transported illegally in an auto rickshaw for selling in the black market. Necessary legal actions are being taken up against the miscreants,” said NGH police chief, Abraham T Sangma.
