Shillong(Meghalaya), May 26: The Health & Family Welfare Department ,Meghalaya, convened a review meeting with the Medical Expert Committee to assess the state’s preparedness for COVID-19. Chaired by Principal Secretary and Development Commissioner Sampath Kumar, the meeting evaluated the current situation, vaccination status, and public health response systems.

With no confirmed COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya as of May 2025, the meeting aimed to ensure the state’s readiness to tackle any potential outbreak. Senior health experts and representatives from government and private institutions attended the meeting to discuss strategies and preparedness measures.
