Shillong (Meghalaya), July 8 : A research-based book, entitled ‘Great minds on INDIA’ by a writer and researcher – Salil Gewali of Shillong, Meghalaya has been approved for translation into the Kannada language by the Government of Karnataka.

The Chief Minister of Karnataka , Siddalingappa Yediyurappa was approached by some literary organizations for translation, publication and propagation of the book in Karnataka.

While the translation of the book has already started by the concerned department, the publication will be circulated by the various government libraries and academic institutes across the state of Karnataka. The book will be made available both in the regular printed and the digital format.

Translated into eleven languages, the book has been edited by a NASA scientist — Dr. AV Murali of Houston, USA.
The first original English edition unveiled in 2009 by the then Governor of Meghalaya RS Mooshahary, the book’s translated versions such as Hindi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Bengali and Marathi editions have subsequently been launched by the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and Governor and Education of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
This title has also been recently recommended by the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi to be distributed amount the top foreign ambassadors and diplomates across the world.

The former governor of Gujarat applauds Gewali’s book as – “ ‘Great Minds on INDIA’ will inspire the intellectuals to explore more into the ancient literary wisdom which never failed to mesmerize the top thinkers, writers and scientists from the West.

This book will not just raise the pride of the Nation but will raise the heart and soul of every Indian citizen. Salil Gewali, by his outstanding research work, has made a tremendous contribution to the NATION which cannot be described in words.”

During his in-depth research, Gewali realized that Modern scientists like Erwin Schrodinger, Niels Bohr, Julius Oppenheimer, David Bohm, Werner Heisenberg, David Josephson, and so on had sufficiently got the ideas related to Quantum Physics from the ancient literature of INDIA.

Voltaire, Johann Goethe, Hegel, Emerson, Henry Thoreau were other front-ranking philosophers of the modern time who were inspired by the bottomless depth of the ancient wisdom of INDIA.
