Shillong ( Meghalaya), July 9 : There seems to be no respite as far as Covid situation is concerned in the state .
Nine more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in the last 24 hours taking the death toll so far to 899.

Five deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills while two from West Garo Hills and one each from West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills .
According to official sources , 426 new cases were detected on Friday with East Khasi Hills on the top with 129 cases followed by Ri Bhoi with 87 and West Garo Hills with 73 .
The active cases as of now stand at 4, 391
